BMW ALPINA B5 BITURBO WITH UPDATED 4.4 LITRE V8 BITURBO PRODUCING 441 kW (600 hp) AND 800 NM OF TORQUE

Strictly limited, only fifty units of the BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo EDITION 50 were produced for customers worldwide. Created and developed to celebrate ALPINA’s 50th Anniversary in 2015, these vehicles all exhibit unique features sourced from ALPINA’s long and eventful heritage. Like limited edition models of the past, the popularity of the EDITION 50 means all examples have been placed with customers.

Continuing demand for BMW 5 Series based BMW ALPINA automobiles with high- performing petrol engines means the regular version of the BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo Saloon and Touring will continue to be available next year and featuring the updated engine and drivetrain configuration.

The powerful 4.4 litre V8 Bi-Turbo has been developed further, increasing output to 441 kW (600 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. The BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo Saloon accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, onto a top speed of 328 km/h. Combined consumption according to ECE Norm remains at 9.5 l/100km and 221 g/km CO2.

The ALPINA sport suspension with Adaptive Drive now comprises electronically adjustable dampers and active roll stabilisation. In combination with a limited slip differential, which is now also standard, the BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo offers even more dynamic handling and increased traction.

The standard equipment has been enhanced significantly. Every BMW ALPINA B5 Bi-Turbo interior is now even more luxurious and features BMW full leather Merino upholstery, a leather covered instrument panel and elegant ALPINA Piano lacquer interior trim.

The optionally available lightweight titanium exhaust system, made by Acrapovic, produces a unique and distinctive V8 soundtrack and is responsible for a weight saving of 17 kg. An optional high-performance fixed-calliper brake system provides even more fading stability in extreme conditions.
